Part 107 · United States

Study for the Part 107 test, charts included.

Flying a drone under Part 107 takes a Remote Pilot Certificate. First-time pilots get one by passing the FAA knowledge test, called UAG. It covers regulations, airspace, weather, loading and performance, and operations. Our packs cover all five areas, with extra practice on sectional charts.

Questions

Is this official?

No. Prepanchor is an independent publisher, not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We write our own questions and never copy the FAA's sample questions.

Who can take the test?

You must be at least 14 to take the knowledge test and at least 16 to get a Remote Pilot Certificate. You also need to read, speak, write and understand English. Sources: Remote Pilot ACS and Become a Drone Pilot, on faa.gov, checked 26 October 2026.

What changed with the chart questions?

From 26 October 2026, the FAA says the knowledge test includes image-based questions that are not in the printed testing supplement, using images from current FAA sectional charts. The supplement stays in use until the FAA sets a date to remove it. The FAA keeps the images in live questions confidential. Source: FAA testing advisory, September 2026, checked 26 October 2026.

What if I fail?

You can retake the test 14 calendar days after the failed attempt. Bring the failed test report to the testing center. Source: Remote Pilot ACS, checked 26 October 2026.

Do I have to test again later?

No second test, but to keep flying under Part 107 you must complete free online recurrent training from the FAA every 24 calendar months. Source: Become a Drone Pilot, on faa.gov, checked 26 October 2026.

Can I buy just one part?

Yes. Each pack covers one part of your study. If you buy the bundle later, the price of a pack you already own comes off at checkout.
